Grape Seed extract is a medicinal herb used primarily for its high bioflavonoid and antioxidant content. It has been shown to stabilize collagen and elastin, which are important proteins in all connective tissues, from blood vessels to muscles to the skin. The flavonoids in grape seed extract have also been shown to increase the effectiveness and of vitamin. These nutrients are also helpful as anti-inflammatories, antihistamines, and anti-allergens and are very effective free radical scavengers. In fact, some scientists believe that they possess up to 50 times stronger antioxidant activity than those of vitamins C or E.

In addition to the standard vitamins and minerals, Basic 1 also contains herbal ingredients, such as green tea and grapeseed extract. These herbs have been shown to be rich in antioxidants, which can help to protect the body from infection and even ward off certain cancers. Unfortunately, with so many other ingredients, there may not be enough of either to make a significant difference.

According to the ingredient label, it contains “Absorb-Best Tablet Base,” which presumably will help to improve the absorption of vitamins and minerals. Unfortunately, the product description does not contain any details on this ingredient, so it is difficult to know whether or not it is truly effective. In order to feel confident that they are getting the most out of their supplements, we recommend looking for a product that contains the ingredient 2-AEP.
